As I’ve said, one of my favorite things about my job is the part I get to play in telling the cool stories behind the people I photograph. The accomplishment of Dr. Jeffrey Gross in receiving a patent for his new Speculet is one such cool story.
Dr. Gross is a doctor of ophthalmology who was driven to create this device in order to improve patient comfort during certain procedures. Rather than just go with what was already available, he chose to create a device himself that would help give his patients a more comfortable experience. He came up with a real world solution to a real world challenge. He is an example of one of the everyday heroes whose stories I get to share in telling.
